Lesson 1: Three Beginning Questions
Welcome, boho babe, to your first step towards FREEDOOMMMM.
We're about to make your mornings calm. Your daily outfits confident and totally YOU. And your closet a place of happiness and contentment -- not panic.
Let's make self-care time. For you.
Here at Budget Bohemian we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting Human Trafficking Awareness. A portion of this sale went to protect frightened men, women & children from abuse. We are grateful.
Not only have you done something to be PROUD of, but you're about to do something FUN, too. ;-)
Some people see cleaning out their closets as a drag. a bore. But really, it isn't; it's looking back on old memories, old adventures, getting rid of the psychological baggage we don't have time for AND it's making room for brand new, awesome, sweet-as-sugar boho style.
Are you ready to get crazy boho, babe?!
Not only are we going to free your closet and release the stress of the daily morning what-do-I-wear panic, but we're gonna turn you into the hippie/gypsy/soul singer/cowgirl/artist of your dreams.
You have full control of what your bohemian capsule wardrobe looks like. We are merely your guiding star.
Here's what you're gonna need to start:
{1} What are 3 words that describe the image you want to project in your daily outfits? These 3 words will give you a guide not only to your CleanOut but to your capsule as a whole. It will keep you HAPPY long-term with what you're gonna buy over the next few days.
{2} What are your favorite colors? We'll choose your capsule colors in Part II, but for now let's focus on your favorites. What do you love to wear? What colors are you "meh" about? Colors that are no longer making you happy need to go. This is a cursory color palette step -- just write down the colors you love and the colors you want to avoid.
{3} How many items are in your closet now? Not counting accessories. Are you happy with that number? Need less? Write down the basic goal number.
Not sure what your goal should be? No worries. Let's take my capsule wardrobe(s) as an example.
My entire closet contains 68 clothing items.
Those 68 clothing items make up 4 seasonal capsule wardrobes -- one for every season. There are overlapping pieces (such as a corduroy jacket, light gray flares, etc).
I don't feel restricted. I don't feel overwhelmed. Around 70 pieces is a happy place for me.
This is about finding YOUR happy place.
Let's get started. <3
